Meet our Team

Paula Wriedt

Paula started as the inaugural CEO of CFT in March 2010.  Having spent 13 years as a member of Tasmania’s House of Assembly, including ten years as a Senior Minister in the Labor Government, Paula has brought a strong network of contacts across the Tasmanian community.  In late 2011 Paula was elected to Kingborough Council, and in July 2021, Paula became Mayor, a position she continues to fulfil alongside her work with CFT.

Holding a Master of Business Administration and a Diploma of Management, Paula has extensive experience in the Not for Profit sector, on various boards and committees and across multiple levels of Government.   In March 2023, Paula was inducted into the Tasmanian Honour Roll of Women. Paula is a passionate advocate for the CF community.  She doesn’t hesitate to take every opportunity to raise the profile of CF, even if it requires participating in fundraising challenges whilst dressed in crazy red outfits.

Janet Van Dongen

Administration & Member Services Officer

Janet joined the team at CFT in November 2022 after having had a long career within the Tasmanian State Service.  Janet coordinates our member services programs and provides administrative support to the organisation.  As the parent of an adult with CF, Janet is passionate about ensuring our members receive the help they need.  Please don’t hesitate to contact Janet about any membership enquiries or requests for support under one of our programs.

Jes Jackson

Fundraising and Events Officer

Jes joined the team in December 2022 and brought with her an extensive range of fundraising and marketing backgrounds.  An active volunteer for many organisations, Jes is using her experience and passion for assisting the CF community to increase awareness of the condition through online marketing and enhanced fundraising activities.   Jes is also a talented professional photographer and hopes to use this skill to shine a light on Tasmanians living with CF.
